The Offices of the Year competition was in its first year attended by 52 companies, whose office interior was evaluated by professional jury in nine categories. The first year showed significant interest in the working space environment topic and all the winners are big motivators and source of great inspiration to other company leaders, how the topic can be successfully handled across different sectors.

The grand finale and highlight of the competition was the gala evening, which took place on 23. 2. 2017 in the premises of Slovanský dům. Announcement of the winners in the respective categories held out an attractive program coordinated by Economia, moderated by Zuzana Tvarůžková from Czech National Television and accompanied by talented musical singer Eva Burešová or professional music group MV & Friends.

The aim of the competition was to award companies that invest in quality working environment and so indirectly introduce them as attractive employers for future employees.

Congratulation to the winners and finalists of the competition, who generally worked hard to create a pleasant working environment for their employees.

The professional Jury evaluated the office interiors in terms of their uniqueness and design of the work space, innovation (technological, material, practical), the overall atmosphere of the environment and most importantly the quality of the work environment.

  2. Applicants can register in nine listed categories:

    To the category No. 9), you can log in simultaneously with one of the categories No. 1) to 8)
  3. The interiors can be registered directly by a representative of the company or by its author, but only with the consent of the subject company.
  4. By submitting the application, the applicant confirms that:
    a/ owner and author of Interior agrees on publication of the photos and description of the interior with open discussion under the article on the website of the organizer and for its promotional purposes, in a press release, the album of registered and winning designs and pages of media partners;
    b/ applicant has the right to dispose with the copyright on the photo of interiors;
    c/ authors of photographs have objected to the competition organizers no financial interest in bringing the photos under the preceding paragraph (4a).
  5. The organizer does not guarantee that each of the registered interiors will be published. It depends on the quality of the actual interior but also the quality, size and number of photographs provided.
  6. Organizer guarantees that published on the website of the main media partner on media partners and organizers will be interiors of the finalists and the winners.
  7. Legal Entity of the applicants must be at least three years active with the exception of the "Start-up Offices of the Year" where there is a requirement of 24 months.

Shortly after graduating from the Faculty of Architecture at Czech Technical University in Prague, doc. Ing. arch. Jakub Cigler worked in London and in 1989 founded his own studio in Prague. He is known for his domestic and foreign projects on which he working with renowned investors. These include The Park in Chodov, Radio Free Europe, Quadrio and Florentinum in Prague, Sofia Airport Center, ComCity in Moscow and many other. Since 2001, he has been leading a team of more than seventy members of a studio, whose projects and realizations have won numerous awards in the Czech Republic and abroad. Studio is dedicated to solving urban complexes, office, residential, mix use and hotel buildings, public facilities and interiors. When designing new buildings and renovations he always looks at urban design and public space cultivation. His work is characterized by working with green areas.

Since graduating at the university she dedicated her entire career to recruitment and labor market flexibility. She has started her career from scratch as a consultant for temporary jobs and subsequently held various managerial positions in recruitment agencies. In August 2013, she became CEO of the company Randstad, which under her leadership has grown to the current 200 employees and nearly tripled its turnover.

1/ At least 7 (seven) interior photos in print quality in JPG format, and a minimum size of 148 x 210 mm (A5) at a resolution of 300 DPI. TECHNICAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL INFORMATION:

1/ The deadline for applications is December 22, 2016

2/ Entered interiors will be placed on the website of the organizer until the end of January 2017, but some media partners including the main media partner, can publish them earlier, with clear reference to the competition Offices of the Year 2016, and indicating the author.

3/ An expert Jury composed of 6 members will decide on three finalists in each of nine categories listed in paragraph 2 latest by January 31, 2017. Winners will be announced in February. The Jury assesses the office interiors in terms of uniqueness and design, innovation (technological, material, practical), the overall atmosphere and especially the quality of the working environment for the employees.

4/ The contest is officially announced by Prochazka & Partners s.r.o.

5/ The organizer reserves the right to change the rules during the competition and decide on the suspension or complete cancellation of the competition.
